NASSAU, BAHAMAS – When we met Travanti Oliver and Calvin Ambrister, we were expecting a simple interview on their free Back-To-Cchool haircuts thanks to the McDonald’s and Danbrad Cares Back To Cchool initiative done in collaboration with St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Kirk.

That is until we realized the two talented barbers themselves are still in school!

The two C.V. Bethel twelfth graders are hoping to turn their interest into a business.

Calvin started cutting his own hair in grade 10, but he tells us it wasn’t until a school trip that teammates suggested he start cutting hair for other people too.

From there he says it was the support of a teacher that got him to take things a step further.

That’s when Travanti came in.

As school boys lined up for their haircuts, the young men say they’re hoping they can turn their partnership into a thriving business.

If you’re interested in getting your hair cut by the TKM Cutz crew or helping them on their journey, you can reach out to them on whatsapp.
