DOMINICAN REPUBLIC – Forensic authorities in the Dominican Republic are trying to identify at least 14 decomposed bodies discovered on an abandoned vessel 10 nautical miles from its northern coast.

The Dominican Navy says it believes the remains are from individuals from Senegal and Mauritania, based on found documentation.

They are investigating the cause of death and whether 12 packages on the boat contain illicit drugs.
