15-Year-Sentence for Man Who Raped Daughter for Two Years

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A man has been jailed for 15 years for repeatedly raping his daughter for two years.

The 58-year-old father’s name has been withheld to conceal the identity of his daughter.

The man received the sentence after he avoided an incest trial before Justice Renae McKay by accepting a plea deal.

Following his release from prison, the man will be placed on probation for two years.

A conviction during this period will send him back to prison for one year.

The Court heard that the man began molesting his 10-year-old daughter in 2016 and the abuse continued until she was 12.
