NASSAU, BAHAMAS – An old project turned dormant has now been approved for Cat Island. The prime minister and island MP making the announcement this morning.

Prime Minister Philip Davis announcing the approval of a proposed $160.45 million project by Cat Island partners for a mixed-use golf resort, residential and marina project at the PGA village in Cat Island.

The prime minister introduced the first phase of the project which has now been proposed on a smaller scale.

The project which originally broke ground in 2009 encountered some issues in the years after.

The announcement came during the 3rd Annual Cat Island Business Outlook that was held on the island.

The prime minister also sharing that the island has seen tremendous growth in GDP as a result of projects like this. He believes even more growth is possible.
