26-Year-Old Man in Custody on Attempted Murder Charge
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A 26-year-old man is being held on an attempted murder charge stemming from a shooting in Montell Heights.
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A 26-year-old man is being held on an attempted murder charge stemming from a shooting in Montell Heights.
Prosecutors say Alvin Morley Jr shot 40-year-old Bertram Paul in the back on July 26.
He was not required to enter a plea to charges of attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life when he stood before Chief Magistrate Roberto Reckley.
Bail was denied and the matter is adjourned to November 27 for the presentation of voluntary bill of indictment papers.
Police believe that the incident was connected to another shooting that involved Morley’s father, Alvin Morley Sr.
He was at a friend’s home when a lone gunman opened fire on him.
While running away, Morley fell and broke his leg.
A short time later, his son while riding a motorcycle allegedly opened fire on an occupied car, hitting Paul in the back.
