GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – Twenty-eight-year-old Shavante Simms is the CEO and founder of Tank Up Bahamas, a newly launched, Bahamian-inspired game designed to bring local culture to game night.

Simms says game nights have always been a staple among her friends, but she felt something was missing — a game that truly reflected Bahamian life.

Inspired by local people, events, and shared experiences, Simms created Tank Up Bahamas to celebrate culture through fun and conversation.

Initially unsure whether the game would appeal beyond her close circle, Simms says an unexpected opportunity gave her the confidence to turn the idea into a physical product.

While the concept was fun, she notes the business side required serious work — including research, verification, and planning.

Now in its soft-launch phase, Simms says she’s encouraged by the public’s response and is excited to see Bahamians embracing a product inspired by their own culture.

She says expansion plans are already in motion, including reaching Bahamians living abroad — with even more Bahamian-inspired projects on the way.

For now, Simms says Tank Up Bahamas is available for purchase through select platforms, giving supporters a chance to bring a piece of home to their next game night.
