NASSAU, BAHAMAS – An accused serial rapist who allegedly sexually assaulted three women at gunpoint is behind bars.

Twenty-nine-year-old Lynden Taylor Jr stood before Acting Chief Magistrate Ancella Evans facing charges of rape, armed robbery and extortion.

Taylor’s crime spree ran from March 22 to April 4, prosecutors allege.

He allegedly raped a 20-year-old woman and robbed her of an Apple IPad on March 22 while extorting $200 from a man on the same date.

On April 2 and 4, Taylor allegedly targeted young women, ages 17 and 18, as they walked in the Collins Avenue area.

Taylor allegedly forced both teenagers into buildings at gunpoint and raped them. The 18-year-old was robbed of an IPhone 13.

Taylor was not required to enter pleas to the charges and bail was denied.

Prosecutors plan to fast-track the case to the Supreme Court by presenting voluntary bill of indictment papers on August 20.
