NASSAU, BAHAMAS – It’s the news every parent dreads hearing: the news that your child has cancer. That’s the nightmare D’Andrea Hinsey has been living since her five-year-old son, Prince, was diagnosed with stage four kidney cancer in May.

Prince has been a champ throughout his cancer treatments, but now they’re asking for the public’s help to get him over the final stretch to the cancer-free finish line.

While most kids enjoyed their summer vacations, five-year-old Prince Hinsey has been in the fight of his life after his diagnosis of stage-four kidney cancer in May.

For his mother, D’Andrea Hinsey, hearing the diagnosis was a hard pill to swallow. The family wasted no time, and after weeks of chemotherapy, Prince was cleared for surgery to remove his tumor.

Although Prince has bravely faced his treatments, his mother shared that his only real fear has been needles, and he was scared about the surgery.

There’s another layer to Prince’s condition that made the surgery’s success even more crucial. The tumor’s removal was successful, but now the next step is radiation therapy to prevent the cancer from recurring.

The radiation therapy comes with a high price tag—almost $17,000. The family needs the public’s help, as doctors want to begin treatment as soon as possible.

The family has set up a GoFundMe page where donations can also be made to support Prince’s treatment.
