NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The 58th Anniversary of Black Tuesday will be celebrated tomorrow (April 27th) and the prime minister used his time in the House of Assembly to speak to the anniversary.

Parliamentarians are debating a resolution to establish a Human Rights Committee.

Black Tuesday was the day that the late Sir Lynden Pindling, then Leader of the Opposition and later Prime Minister threw the Speaker’s Mace from the east window of the House of Assembly to protest the gerrymandering boundaries  by the then governing United Bahamian Party.
