NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A 61-year-old Haitian man is facing charges after prosecutors say he was responsible for a deadly head-on collision in Eleuthera.

Elsanet Saintilus, of Bluff, Eleuthera, is accused of causing the February 16 crash that resulted in the death of Dashawn Grant.

Saintilus didn’t have to plead to a charge of vehicular manslaughter when he stood before Assistant Chief Magistrate Kara Turnquest-Deveaux.

Bail was denied. Saintilus returns to court on February 16, 2026, to receive voluntary bill of indictment papers.
