NASSAU, BAHAMAS – With just over a week until voters in Golden Isles head to the polls, Progressive Liberal Party (PLP) candidate Darron Pickstock is laying out his plan for the constituency while rejecting claims that recent government projects are politically motivated.

Pickstock, who was ratified following the passing of former MP Vaughn Miller, said road paving and other improvements in the area are part of a national initiative, not election campaigning.

“Roads are being paved throughout the length and breadth of The Bahamas,” he said. “This is a national program, not something exclusive to Golden Isles.”

The former senator and current executive chairman of the Bahamas Agricultural and Industrial Corporation said his campaign has been well-received, noting residents’ concerns range from road repairs and street lighting to green spaces and public safety.

He also outlined key priorities, including building a community center and expanding CCTV coverage across the constituency.
