NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A man accused of killing an intruder has been granted $10,000 emergency bail by Justice Jeanine Weech-Gomez.

Prosecutors did not object to Kenneth Farrington being released from prison as he awaits trial on a manslaughter charge.

Farrington is accused of the January 24 beating death of 68-year-old Felix Morley.

Morley was allegedly caught breaking into Farrington’s East Bay Street home.

Prosecutors allege that Farrington fatally beat Morley with a painting stick. Morley was allegedly armed with a hammer.

As a condition of bail, Farrington has to surrender his passport and sign in weekly at a police station.
