NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A man accused of armed robbery spree that targeted Haitians is behind bars.

34-old Tario Johnson faced four counts of armed robbery, stemming from incidents that took place between March 28 and April 7 when he appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Ancella Evans.

Prosecutors say he held up Eddort Dormel at gunpoint on March 28 and made off with $2,300.

On April 4, he allegedly robbed Elebin Solomon of 150 dollars, a bicycle and wallet.

He allegedly robbed Reno Ilfrand of a cellphone and wallet on April 6.

A day later, he allegedly robbed Marien Hanna of $11 and a cellphone.

Johnson didn’t have to enter pleas to the charges and was denied bail.

He returns to court on August 20 to receive voluntary bill of indictment papers.
