25-Year-Old Accused Of Multiple Crimes Connected To Death Of Trade Unionist

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A man is accused of multiple crimes connected to the death of 63-year-old trade unionist, Perry Cox.

25-year-old Anthon Rolle is charged with murder, arson of a dwelling house and three counts of stealing.

Prosecutors say Rolle fatally stabbed Cox inside his Nassau Village home on June 17th before setting his place afire.

He’ also accused of stealing Cox’s gold Lexus, his blue iPhone 12 and a Nintendo Switch belonging to someone else.

Rolle did not have to enter pleas to the charges when he made his first court appearance before acting Chief Magistrate Ancella Evans.

Bail was denied and he returns to court on October 22nd to receive voluntary bill of indictment papers.
