GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – Latera Laing says her mother is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, but the condition did not impede her daily walk two blocks away to a nearby convenience store where she would meet friends.

“With the condition briefly she’ll forget something or leave the water running something like that but to forget where she is or where she’s going? No.”

Laing says when she arrived home after 5pm, she cooked dinner and called her mother’s friend to tell her to come home. She says the friend informed her that her mother had passed by the store after 9 o’clock but did not stop.

This response trigging the search for Lynda Pinder.

“He’s been on foot, I’ve been on foot. The drones are out now they yesterday it was raining too much they couldn’t send them out. They had the dog out yesterday, today they have the drones out and my cousin he has the plane out right now.”

And as the search continues, Laing says she’s concerned that her mother is without her medication.
