NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A mother is facing a child cruelty charge after she allegedly abandoned her 10-month-old son on a relative’s porch.
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A mother is facing a child cruelty charge after she allegedly abandoned her 10-month-old son on a relative’s porch.
Prosecutors allege the 20-year-old woman left the infant in his carrier at his father’s home on October 1 at around 11 pm.
The child was not discovered until hours later and is now in the hospital.
The woman pled not guilty to the charge at her arraignment before acting Chief Magistrate Ancella Evans.
Her bail was set at $3,000, and her trial is set for February 2.
