NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A man accused of snapping his girlfriend’s neck, leaving her paralyzed, had been unanimously acquitted of an attempted murder charge.

Prosecutors alleged that 29-year-old Kevin Taylor tried to kill Syreta Dames on January 12, 2024, after the couple had an argument.

The jury also acquitted Taylor of the alternative charge of causing dangerous harm.

According to Taylor’s statement to police, Dames sat in the street after they argued and refused to move.
