NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A man has been jailed for 10 years for attempted murder after he attacked his ex-girlfriend with a knife.
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A man has been jailed for 10 years for attempted murder after he attacked his ex-girlfriend with a knife.
Justice Jeanine Weech-Gomez imposed the sentence on 27-year-old Jermaine Laing, who pleaded guilty to the crime.
Laing went to the woman’s home in Sea Breeze on April 27, 2022 and stabbed her in the arm after missing her neck.
Laing was subdued by the woman’s relatives and said he planned to kill the woman before taking his life.
He will receive credit for the three months he spent on remand.
