NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A family is mourning the death of a 29-year-old woman and her unborn baby, who were murdered in Central Florida. Her father is reflecting on her life and the tough road ahead.

Four young children are motherless tonight after their mom was found strangled to death.

According to the Orange County’s Sheriff’s Department, police responded to a home on Thursday morning after a family member reported 29-year-old Joanna Ragine Gomez-Simo missing.

Police found the young mother of four strangled to death in her home.

Her father Joe Phillips, who lives in New Providence, says he had plans to travel and meet his daughter this year but now unfortunately that will not happen.

Philips sharing that his daughter recently moved to the states with her four young children to give them a better life. 

He describes her as a hardworking mother who always put her kids first.

Orlando police arrested her 41-year-old boyfriend Pierre Floriant on for first degree murder.
