NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Cat Island has a lot of work coming its way according to the Senior Engineer for the Family Islands, David cox.

The works will include major water works and tanks will be installed in conjunction with the roadworks.

The senior engineer tells us overall between the roadworks and waterworks, the project comes out to $80 million, expected to be complete in the next two and a half years.

There are also plans in the pipeline for the construction of a new airport for New Bight. Cox says when that starts, the airport will have to be closed.
