NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Your commute on the streets of New Providence should flow a little smoother, at least when it comes to your wait time at traffic lights.

Senior Traffic and Transport Engineer in the Ministry of Works Joy John says they are currently in the process of upgrading the 80 traffic lights on the island.

He explains the quality and efficiency now experienced on the back end.

As for when the remaining lights will be upgraded, he says that depends on a supply chain issue.

And red light runners beware, john says this upgrade also helps to capture the offense.
