NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Justice Renae McKay on Thursday set a May 29, 2024 trial date for North Abaco Member of Parliament Kirk Cornish.
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Justice Renae McKay on Thursday set a May 29, 2024 trial date for North Abaco Member of Parliament Kirk Cornish.
Cornish, 48, is accused of raping, threatening to kill and assaulting a 35-year-old woman.
He was formally charged with the offenses on August 9, the day after he resigned as parliamentary secretary.
Prosecutors allege the crimes took place in Coopers Town, Abaco and in Nassau, New Providence between January 20, 2023 and April 4, 2023.
