NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A $40 million Corrections Facility is on the horizon as the National Security Minister announced government plans to build a new facility on the existing grounds soon.

Noting that the current prison facility has existed since the 1950s, Minister of National Security Wayne Munroe says government is committed to building a state of the art facility with solar panels.

This as United States Embassy Officials donate $300k worth of equipment to the Department of Corrections.

Munroe says the plan is to build the new facility just south of the medium security prison on the Fox Hill compound.

New cells will be pre-fabricated in the U.S.
