Petroleum Retailors Association: We Just Want To Make A Decent Profit

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Gas retailers around New Providence are continuing their calls for an increase in gas margins, they say they are tired of waiting.

Vice President of the association Vasco Bastian says after two years of waiting, they are willing to take anything.

The last time retailers saw an increase was in 2011, the then Ingraham-led administration granted a ten cent increase per gallon taking it from 44 to 55 cents.

Bastian says retailers do not wish to be held by a “fixable margin”.

With the easter and summer months approaching, Bastian says this is a pivotal time for retailers.

Bastian says it is time retailers do more than “make ends meet”.
