NASSAU, BAHAMAS – While The Bahamas Alzheimer’s Association is advocating for the government to create an official national plan, its President Wendyi Poitier-Albury says some things can happen to make things better before there is an official plan in place.

The Bahamas could be looking at a 226 percent increase in dementia cases by 2050, which means more and more people will become care givers.

And she says the importance of stress management for caregivers can’t be overlooked.
