NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Convicted killer Rodrigo Rolle has been sentenced to 33 years and six months for the murder of a 70-year-old American woman.

Rolle, 34, was convicted of the murder of Janice Kessinger following a trial before Justice Gregory Hilton.

Her nude body was found covered with pine needles in Port Royal, Cat Island on October 1, 2015. She was last seen alive on September 29.

Rolle’s DNA was found under the deceased’s fingernails. He was also seen driving Kessinger’s Ford Explorer on September 29 and 30.

In passing sentence, Justice Hilton said that a 40-year sentence was the appropriate sentence.

However, the sentence was reduced after factoring in the six years and six months that Rolle spent on remand.
