Father Killed, Two Injured In Shooting Outside Soldier Road Bar

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The murder count climbing Monday night after gunfire erupted outside a bar on Soldier Road. When the dust settled three men were hit by bullets, one of them died on the scene.

It’s left a family to grieve and a community shaken up.

On Tuesday, after the shooting, we revisited the scene where this resident, who wished to remain anonymous says it’s particularly devastating because the victim was a father.

The triple shooting unfolded relatively early Monday night.

And while police couldn’t confirm whether or not the incident was gang-related. They did tell us the incident was caught on camera.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Zhivago Dames was at the scene Monday night.

Soldier Road and Windsor Place are highly trafficked areas. I asked residents if this kind of incident leaves them feeling unsafe.

While some expressed concern over the brazen shooting that happened relatively early, ACP Dames says the police force is up to the task.
