NASSAU, THE BAHAMAS – Christmas is a time for giving but for some in our community, it’s also a time when need is felt the most.

For the third straight year, the Our News team decided that telling these stories wasn’t enough, they wanted to be part of the solution.

That meant food, fun, and a whole lot of heart at the All Saints Camp, with a little extra holiday cheer for the kids.

This year, The experience grew even bigger, With ALIV curating a fun day for the children, Complete with a bouncing castle, snow cones, popcorn And cotton candy.

Senior Producer Kendeno Knowles says for a team that tells people’s stories every day, showing up is part of the mission.

Our News Digital Content Reporter Timothy Bain organized the giveback for the second year in a row and says the turnout and the reaction made it all worth it.

Food was once again a big part of the day, with Chef Manny of Manuelos providing meals for the second year in a row.

He says giving back through food is at the heart of what they do.

Camp Administrative Assistant Kayshala Forbes thanked the Our News team for the continued support, while also sharing some of the daily realities the camp faces.

In addition to food and fun, the Our News team also purchased board games for the children, helping to complete another successful Christmas giveback and a reminder that sometimes showing up means the most.
