Our Jerome Sawyer speaks with someone experiencing that journey for the first time.



Less than a week ago, Dr. Gemma Roller and her two siblings buried their mother.
She describes former broadcaster Elva Roller as a constant in their lives.

Now a mother of three of herself, she is trying to use the mothering skills passed along.

As a medical professional, the rigours of a career and the demands of motherhood require good balancing skills in January doctors told Rolle her mother’s illness was terminal.
