NASSAU, BAHAMAS – You often hear that a sports team is only as good as its coaches and this year’s CARIFTA swimming team is being led by three capable coaches who have all served on the CARIFTA coaching swim team before.

As the young people would say – “that’s it and that’s all.”

The goal is for the CARIFTA swim team to return a fifth consecutive crown, according to first time head coach Camron Bruney.

The team will leave for Curacao next month undoubtedly with a target on their backs.

Travano McPhee, a former olympian and last year’s head coach, says there are few weaknesses on this team.

Team Bahamas will have members swimming in the open water category in the CARIFTA championships as well.
