NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Central and South Abaco Member of Parliament John Pinder III says Abaconians were disappointed in the supreme court ruling, only allowing for the demolition of two shantytown structures.

He says the issue remains a concern but he says it will not deter them.

On Tuesday, Attorney General Ryan Pinder told the media the ruling will not hinder government’s plan to demolish shantytown structures.

The Office of the Attorney General wanted the Supreme Court to order the demolition of more than 260 structures in New Providence and Abaco that were built despite an injunction prohibiting construction.
