NASSAU, BAHAMAS – An accountant who worked at the Red Cross is accused of stealing Super Value gift certificates intended for the needy, for his personal use.

Fifty-four-year-old Sean Brennen senior of Peak’s Close, Leeward East faced 12 counts of stealing by reason of employment at his arraignment before Magistrate Kendra Kelly.

Prosecutors say over an eight-month period, from April 2021 to November 2021, Brennen stole gift certificates valued at $8,815.

Brennen has denied the charge and a trial is set for January 17th, 2023.

In the interim, he’s been freed on $ 7,000 bail.
