NASSAU, BAHAMAS – An accused murderer has been freed on $20,000 bail after prosecutors did not object to his release.

Thirty-two-year-old Kirklyn Munroe spent seven weeks on remand at the Bahamas Department of Corrections after he was charged with the November 28, 2025 murder of Jervon Edgecombe before seeking bail in the Supreme Court.

The prosecution did not oppose Munroe’s bail application when he appeared before Justice Neil Brathwaite.

Bail was granted on the condition that he wears an ankle monitor and signs in weekly at a police station.

Prosecutors allege that Munroe stabbed and killed Edgecombe during a fight at their apartment at Hepburn Estates, off Cowpen Road.
