NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Free National Movement Member of Parliament Adrian Gibson will stand trial in the Supreme Court on charges related to alleged corruption during his tenure as the executive chairman at the Water and Sewerage Corporation.

Prosecutors allege that Gibson benefitted from contracts awarded by the corporation and claim he laundered the money by buying real estate and vehicles for his rental company.

Gibson and his alleged co-conspirators, Rashae Gibson, his cousin, Jerome Missick and campaign manager Joann Knowles were served with voluntary bills of indictments when they appeared before Magistrate Carolyn Vogt-Evans today.

They are due to be arraigned before Supreme Court Justice Bernard Turner on September 23.
