NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Jamaican housekeeper of businessman Al Collie is facing obstruction and firearm possession charges.

Sixty-six-year-old Beverlyn Morrison appeared before Magistrate Lennox Coleby in relation to a November 20 police raid at Collie’s home at Sea Beach Estates.

Police allege that Morrison denied police officers entry to the home when they came to the residence at around 2am to execute a search warrant.

So, the officers forced their way inside.

Once inside police officers shot 81-year-old Collie after he allegedly opened fire on them.

Police allegedly found an unlicensed. 380 pistol along with 21 rounds of ammunition.

Morrison denied charges the charges at her arraignment and was granted $7,000 bail.

She returns to court on March 11, 2026, for the start of her trial.

Meanwhile, Collie has been released from hospital and remains under investigation.
