Alleged Attacker Dies in Pinewood Shooting

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A would-be attacker was reportedly shot and killed by his alleged accomplices outside a Pinewood Gardens home, Monday afternoon.

Chief Superintendent of Police Chrislyn Skippings tells reporters it was around 1pm when an orange Nissan March pulled up at a residence south fo Ficus Street, near Pigeon Plum Street. Two gunmen exited the vehicle with handguns and began shooting at the male resident of a nearby home.

Police say the male resident was able to escape gunfire, but in the barrage of bullets, the gunmen “accidentally” shot of of the men who came with them.

Skippings says the man who was targeted, as well as the two gunmen are in police custody.

The victim is believed to be in his early 20s.

Skippings issuing an appeal to members of the community to speak up and turn their loved ones in if it means they can save a life.
