WORLDWIDE – Amazon is planning to expand its discount storefront, Amazon Haul, into Europe later this year as it moves to compete more aggressively with ultra-low-cost rivals Temu and Shein.

Sources tell CNBC the company is preparing a broader global rollout, with recent job postings also pointing to possible expansions into Mexico.

Amazon Haul debuted in the U.S. last year, offering app-only access to items priced mostly at $20 or less, including clothing, makeup and accessories.

An Amazon spokesperson confirmed the company is exploring new ways to offer lower prices but declined to comment on specific plans.

The move comes as Amazon responds to the rapid rise of low-cost, China-linked shopping platforms that have transformed online retail.
