American Woman Fined $8K for Illegal Gun Possession
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A 69-year-old American woman has been fined $8,000 for illegal gun possession and could face 24 months in prison, if not paid.
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A 69-year-old American woman has been fined $8,000 for illegal gun possession.
Mary Robinson, of Sands Spring, Oklahoma, will serve 24 months in prison if the money isn’t paid.
She was arrested on December 2 at the Nassau Cruise Port.
Security officers called police after they found a .380 pistol and four unfired rounds of ammunition in Robinson’s bag as she was about to reboard the Liberty of the Seas cruise ship.
She pleaded guilty and Magistrate Lennox x Coleby fined Robinson $8,000.
