Archer Granted $4K Bail

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Omar Archer, the self-described political activist, has been freed on $4,000 bail on charges of causing harm and threats of harm.

The charges stem from an altercation on August 23 following a Free National Movement constituency meeting held at Gerald Cash Primary School.

Archer, 50, of Lewis Street, Nassau Village, denied that he injured and threatened Hiram Kelly, a meritorious council member at his arraignment.

Archer’s trial is set to begin before Senior Magistrate Carolyn Vogt-Evans on October 14.

He is represented by Wendawn Miller-Frazer.
