NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Several protestors were arrested during a peaceful protest in Parliament Square, Wednesday morning.

Among those arrested was activist and Coalition of Independents Leader Lincoln Bain, who was taken to Central Police Station in a police car after an altercation with a police officer.

Seven or eight other protestors were arrested along with Bain.

Our News understands the protest was about teaching the Constitution of The Bahamas in schools, and Bain was delivering copies of the Constitution to Members of Parliament as they entered the House of Assembly.

This is a developing story.
