At Least 12 Migrants Dead After Vessel Capsizes In Channel
FRANCE – At least 12 migrants died Tuesday after their boat capsized while crossing the channel to Britain, according to the French Interior Ministry.
FRANCE – At least 12 migrants died Tuesday after their boat capsized while crossing the channel to Britain, according to the French Interior Ministry.
This as rescue operations are said to be ongoing for 2 missing people.
The Minister is set to visit the site near Boulogne-Sur-Mer. The incident underscores the ongoing crisis, as over 2,000 migrants have arrived in Britain on small boats in the past week.
Last week, French President Emmanuel Macron and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer agreed to strengthen efforts against migrant smuggling.
