NASSAU, BAHAMAS – More opposition to the proposed beach club development on Paradise Island by Royal Caribbean International, this time, another senior executive from Atlantis is weighing in.

Just a little over a week after Audrey Oswell, Atlantis’ President and Managing Director chastised government over the proposed Royal Caribbean Paradise Island development, Vaughn Roberts, Atlantis’ Senior Vice President of Government Affairs and Special Projects, is adding his voice to the conversation.

Roberts says the resort’s team provided feedback on the initial proposal in 2020, but they have not been privy to the details of the newly revised proposal.

He says he is happy to see Bahamians expressing their concern about the project and now, he believes Royal Caribbean should address those concerns head on.

He explains their main concerns about the development and the crown land associated with the project.
