NASSAU, BAHAMAS – When the Christmas food and gifts are done it’s time to have some fun. For many Bahamians, the holiday carnival is a must-go.

This age-old tradition is embroidered in the hearts of thousands of locals spanning generations, bringing a sense of joy and thrill to the holiday season.

Set up on the historic Clifford Park, patrons enjoy breathtaking views while roaming through a huge playground where you can find games and carnival rides.

Some of them new, some of them returning crowd favorites.

Like the pirate ship – this attraction was missing for a minute but it’s back and I could not resist the temptation.

Not a thrill seeker? Well the carnival also caters to the foodies offering their famous pizza and a wide range of sweet carnival treats.

With gates opening from 2 pm on holidays, 6 pm on weekdays, and 4 pm on weekends, organizers want to ensure that everyone gets the opportunity to awaken their inner kid this holiday season.
