B.A.I.S.S Championships Held At Roscow Davies Field

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Bahamas Association of Independent Secondary Schools Soccer Championships wrapped up this past week at the Roscow A Davies field.

Queen’s College won the junior girls’ title beating St. Andrew’s 4-1.

St. Andrews claimed the junior boys’ title in penalties after a hard-fought 2-2 stalemate, overcoming Windsor Academy 6-5 in penalties.

Lyford Cay International School swept the senior divisions with their girls routing St. Andrew’s 4-0 and their Seniors Boys winning in penalties after a hard-fought 3-3 stalemate in regulation against Windsor.

They had to go to penalties where Lyford came out with the 4-1 win.

Track and Field

Minister for Grand Bahama, Ginger Moxey welcomed young athletes to the Grand Bahama Fidelity bank/Freeport City Council all -island primary track and field championships yesterday.

Twenty schools participated in the meet with Hugh Campbell Primary taking the win by a wide margin.

Freeport Gospel Chapel came second and Walter Parker Primary was 2 and a half points behind them to round out the top three.
