B.U.T. Election Under Investigation

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Bahamas Union of Teachers holding an election on September 22nd. But, to date, those results have not been solidified. Now, Secretary General of the Union, Tiffany Delancy-Laing says an investigation has been opened.

Following an election, the union is to receive an election certificate that would confirm the results. However, that has yet to happen.

And, could the union see another election in the near future? Delancy Laing adding that this year, the union saw a low voter turnout.

Now, the Our News team did reach out to the registrar for comment, but due to the open investigation, they were not permitted to provide an official comment.
