Baha Mar Hosts “Doubles Madness”

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – 16 athletes competed in Baha Mar’s “Doubles Madness” tournament, which pitted 8 teams against each other in a rotating doubles format where they changed partners and opponents in every round.

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – 16 athletes competed in the event, which pitted 8 teams against each other in a rotating doubles format where they changed partners and opponents in every round.

At the end of the day, a team of Jyles Turnquest and Anthony Munnings came out on top over LJ Smith and Joshua Herman, dominating with a 5-1 win.

You may also recognize the third place winner, as he does sports during the week – John Marc Nutt of 10th Year Seniors.

The event was at full capacity with there being a wait list to get in.

Up next for Baha Mar is the Universal Tennis Rating (UTR) Junior Series, February 27th and 28th, and the Women’s Doubles Classic, which is scheduled for March 1st.

Chisholm, Robinson and Murray Make Spring Training Debuts

Jazz Chisholm of the New York Yankees, Kristian Robinson of the Arizona Diamondbacks organization, and BJ Murray Jr. of the Chicago Cubs organization got in their first spring training action yesterday.

Chisholm hit a single in his only plate appearance before getting subbed out of the Yankees’ 2-0 loss to the Baltimore Orioles.

Robinson got into Arizona’s 3-2 loss to Colorado, going 0-1, and Murray went 0-3 in the Cubs’ loss to their southside rivals, the White Sox.
