Bahamas Backing $10B Lawsuit Against U.S. Gun Manufacturers

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Bahamas and other countries in the region are backing Mexico’s appeal to hold American gunmakers liable for harm caused by American-made guns.

Prime Minister Philip Davis has announced The Bahamas, along with Antigua & Barbuda, St. Vincent & The Grenadines, and Trinidad & Tobago are teaming up with the Latin American and Caribbean Network for Human Security to join Mexico’s case to hold United States gunmakers liable for harm caused by U.S. manufactured weapons.

Mexico’s first case against U.S. gun manufactures was dismissed in September of last year.

Police, Tuesday, set up a display of more than 100 guns, as Police Commissioner Clayton Fernander explained that the majority of the firearms were traced back to the U.S.
