THE BAHAMAS – The Bahamas has reached a historic milestone on the international baseball stage, climbing to number 40 in the latest World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) Men’s Baseball rankings, the highest position the country has ever achieved.

The rise comes after the national program scored 128 points in 2025, moving up three spots in the global standings.

This latest jump builds on a breakthrough year in 2024, when The Bahamas was the fastest growing program in the world. During that period, they surged 12 spots from 59 to 47.

The WBSC rankings are determined by performance in sanctioned international tournaments across senior and age-group levels, and The Bahamas’ steady ascent reflects expanded participation, and improved results on the regional and global stage.

Miller Steps Up For Santa Cruz

Franco Miller Jr. is having a successful transition to the NBA G-league.

Miller turned in his strongest performance since he joined the Santa Cruz Warriors in their 111-102 win over the Austin Spurs.

He finished with 9 points, 4 assists and a team-high 4 steals.

Selected by Santa Cruz with the 58th pick in the G league draft, Miller spent his rookie season in Spain for FIBWI Palma in the Primera Feb League where he averaged 10 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists per game.
