NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Bahamas’ national team closed out round-robin play in the CONCACAF Beach Soccer Cup with a 5-4 loss to Mexico. 

The boys from the 242 shared the love with all goals coming from 4 different players, but they couldn’t stop the onslaught from Mexico, which even included two goals from goalie Gabriel Macias. 

Manager Alexandre Soares talked about his team going toe-to-toe with such a tough opponent: 

Team Captain Gavin Christie feels that the game could have easily gone in favor of The Bahamas.

Christie and Team Bahamas has a tough matchup ahead in Panama but with the home crowd cheering them on, he knows they can win.

Meanwhile, Klay Thompson and the golden state warriors won game 5 of their series against the Los Angeles Lakers 121-106 to stave off elimination Wednesday night. 

Klay had 10 points on 3 of 12 shooting, but he did make two three-pointers and played great defense on lakers perimeter players. 

Stephen Curry led the dubs with 27 points and 8 assists and Draymond Green gave us a vintage performance with 20 points and 10 rebounds. 

Lebron James has 25 points and 9 rebounds for the Lakers. Anthony Davis had 23 and 9, leaving the game in a wheelchair at the end. 

The Warriors have a chance to tie the series in game 6 tomorrow night.
