NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Bahamas National Trust’s 30th Wine & Art Festival will make a return on on October 29 and 30 at the Retreat Garden National Park.
BNT considers Wine and Art to be the premier art and culture festival in The Bahamas, combining a culinary, artistic, and cultural experience with the opportunity to support the environment.
After a two-year hiatus, this year’s event is expected to bring iconic food and beverage experiences to attendees while introducing a few new experiences.
Returning sponsors Commonwealth Brewery and 700 Wines and Spirits have partnered with the BNT to showcase an incredible array of wines and spirits. Attendees at Wine and Art 2022 will be able to sip over 60+ wines from different parts of the world, enjoy luxury champagne brands in The VIP Champagne Lounge, and enjoy food and culinary delights from local food vendors as well as Ministry of Tourism-sponsored celebrity chefs.
Arts and crafts from more than 35 local artists and vendors will be offered for sale, as attendees enjoy live music and entertainment, and taking in the beautiful atmosphere that is The Retreat Garden.
Wine and Art functions as one of the BNT’s annual fundraisers and the kickoff to the organisation’s much-anticipated fall events. All proceeds from the event support the management of Bahamian national parks and conservation in The Bahamas.
Over the years, thousands of visitors have come to look forward to this one-of-a-kind festival and have made attendance a tradition.
This year’s festival will feature an exclusive Champagne Lounge and a Heineken Beer Garden After Party. The brand-new champagne lounge will be offering high-class champagne brands like Moet and Chandon, Veuve Cliquot, and Armand de Brignac Ace of Spades; along with exclusive entertainment. And for the first time ever, tickets can be purchased online.
Kimberly Knowles, BNT Development Officer and Event Coordinator, said the response to the return of the festival so far has been “nothing but excitement” from both the public and staff.
“It feels amazing to be back in action after this two-year hiatus. In the past Wine and Art was something so many people looked forward to, and people have been asking when’s it coming back. We’re thrilled to let them know, it’s coming back now. This is also the first Wine and Art for a lot of our new team members who were onboarded during the pandemic, and you can feel the energy and excitement among everyone. We know people are going to love it and we can’t wait.”

The BNT would like the public to note that the present roadworks on Village Road will be paused on the dates of this event, to allow normal traffic flow and access to The Retreat Garden.
